Severn Waste Environmental Fund:

Through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme we have made grants to local community projects which fulfil our sustainability criteria. The fund operated throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire and has allocated over £4m to 344 community projects since 1998. Projects have included wetland development, the creation of new woodland, new heating systems for religious buildings and green building technology in village halls, such as air-to-air heat pumps and renewable energy.
